The Lucas - Coat Hanger
ABOUT
This handcrafted coat hanger is crafted from recycled wooden components salvaged from old sewing tables in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Each of the four hooks are fashioned from a vintage sewing spool, bearing the charming remnants of old paint used to mark thread colors. These spools, preserved in their original condition from an old mill, have been ingeniously repurposed as the hooks for these artistically crafted hangers. Some still carry traces of thread and feature a beautifully patinated brass base.
The backing of the hanger is constructed from recycled wood fragments, adorned with playful strokes of pink, red, and green paint. Their white frames, gently peeling in certain areas, contribute to its distinctive and characterful appearance.
